2010... Began with an invitation to the 52nd annual Grammy Awards which were held on January 31, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

2007...Neal was chosen to be the "Chief Judge" for the online singing competition at  www.tune97.com .  The singing contest ended December 31, 2007.  Tune97 is a website for singers and it specializes in matching singers with producers.

2007...Neal was one of the music industry judges of The Songwriters of the South songwriting competition which will was held August 11, at Griffs, in The Historic Cannery, in Downtown Havana, Fl.  WWW.songwritersofthesouth.com is the official website for the songwriting competition as well as the battle of the bands.

2007...The URBAN MUSIC CONFERENCE was held in Indianapolis, IN. on July 20 & 21.  Neal was the featured Keynote speaker.  WWW.musicnoize.com is the website for the conference.  The conference was held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Indy and the event was a success.

2007.....The July release of the Vin Lamar single "Parchment Paper" is produced by Neal.  www.vinlamar.com is the official website of Vin Lamar.  The single "Parchment Paper"  is currently being played by radio worldwide and has made it into a major chart in the top 50.

2006...Musicnoize Urban Music Conference.  On October 19, Neal was the keynote speaker at the Urban Music Conference.  The conference was held at the Artsgarden in Indianapolis, IN.  Neal spoke from a music industry standpoint regarding  african-influenced music including: Soul, R&B, Hip-hop, Reggae, Jazz, Blues, Rap and Gospel.   www.musicnoize.com  The conference drew record label and recording artists from all over the United States and was a great success.

2006..."Movie"..The song "Running with Scissors", produced by Neal James, is being released to radio in conjunction with the October release of the Major Motion Picture of the same name, "RUNNING WITH SCISSORS".  The movie was produced by "Plan B Productions" which is Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's company.  Plan B also recently produced Johnny Depps movie "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory".  The song "Running with Scissors" is performed by the incredible  "Cindy Nelson".  Staring in the movie is:  Annette Bening, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jill Clayburgh, Joseph Fiennes, Evan Rachel Wood & Alec Baldwin.   www.imdb.com/title/tt0439289/

2006...  Neal has been invited, and has joined forces with TPMA  Triple Platinum Music Alliance is a joint effort of  music professionals combining their total experience in the music industry and connecting the East and West musical coasts.

2006...  Neal celebrates 30 years in the music industry.

2006 started with a bang with Neal, once again, receiving an invitation to attend music's biggest event. The 48th Annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.  "THE GRAMMY'S."  The Grammys' were held February 8, 2006.

In 2004, Neal was invited to attend the 38th Annual CMA AWARDS which were held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN.

In 2004, Neal was chosen as one of the prestigious judges for the Southern Idols talent contest. The Southern Idols competition was October 2 and was held at Charlotte's Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, NC.. The contest was an enormous success.

2004 started with Neal receiving yet another invitation to the Grammy Awards. This years 46th Annual Grammy's  were held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

In 2003, Neal was invited to be a key-note speaker at the very popular and influential Indianapolis Music Conference in Indianapolis, IN.

In 2003, Neal was chosen by the prestigious Harvard University in Boston, MA. to be interviewed by The Harvard Business School for dissertation research on the role of producers in the music production process. Neal was chosen by Harvard because of his success' with such a high level of prolific and esteemed recording artists.

2003 - Neal receives an invitation to the 45th Annual Grammy Awards. The 2003 Grammy's were held at Madison Square Gardens in New York.
